 Taken on a short two hour walk with a photo club that I have been a member of since it was founded in 1999. It was nice to get out with the camera to shoot something as I haven't been out with my camera for almost four weeks, I've only shot few family shots for that time, capturing memories of course..

After converting this image in Lightroom and after a little bit work in Photoshop I converted it to black and white using the Channel mixer with suiting contrast work using curves and dodge and burn after that.

Nice shot, but I wonder if a tint of (duotone) colour would have brought it to life more? Perhaps a slight blue?

I like your choice of B&W for this; draws my eye more immediately to the contrast in texture between the ice and flowing water.

Breathtaking! I love the clarity and contrast in this shot. Shame the sky wasn't any more interesting on the day but nonetheless a fabulous shot.
