 Mill Canyon, just outside of Moab, UT.

My family and I frequent the desert for New Year's Eve, and I was obsessed with finding ice this year end. It was about 15 minutes before sunset when we found these wonderfully frozen potholes just northwest of Moab. Weston, my son, had been "skating" all day on any/all of the ice we found. The thinner layers usually ended up in pieces thanks to my husband and his inner-boy.

Interesting combination of warm and cold. I like it that you have a human subject. I would have liked a closer view of the expression and and off-center subject.
