I like the angle and the colours in this. The train really stands out from the sky. |

Rich in yellow roses. The purple in the sky is a nice complement to the yellow train. |

That is one of the most absolutely amazing parades on the planet. I have seen it on television long ago, but your photograph is a much sharper image. You had good positioning to be able to get this float so nicely, and all the settings were right. |

Great angle. Love the colors. I used to live in Pasadena and we would go see the floats every year after the parade. Thanks for sharing. |

Oh, I should specify. After the Rose Parade, they have all the floats parked at the end of the street (by the high school). For $7, you can get in and close to the floats.
I had my family with me (wife, 3yo, and 2yo), so it was set the shot, shoot, and move on.
I'll have some more pictures up on my website (//www.wingedrabbit.com/event/piclist.php?event=310). |

I'm jealous, I'd love to be that close to such a great photography event. Those floats are amazing.
OK, here's time to fess up. I live pretty close to Philadelphia where the Mummers march ... do you think I've ever been there? And when I lived in Indianapolis I never went to the race.
I'm a loser. I'm glad you're not. Thanks for posting. |

Wow you must have been close! When we were kids we'd watch the parade on tv every New Year's....it was a tradition. I remember being amazing that all the floats were made of flowers and plants....it still amazes me! |
