The middle part of the photo contains thousands of seagulls (and a few Canadian geese) either standing on ice or floating in the water.

OMG!! Have never seen this many gulls all in one place. the feeding in the warm water must be really good or they wouldn't be there.. This is like the March of the Penguins when they were all huddled together..

OMG .. but WHY !!
why are all those birds there ?
amazing photograph .. i'm wondering if you were able to count them they'd get in the guinness book of records for the most birds gathered in one place at one time .. of course it would take you so long to count them that by the time you finished they'd probably be all gone .. lol .. :)
