Photograph Information Photographer's Comments
Challenge: Silence IV (Basic Editing I)
Camera: Canon EOS-10D
Location: Inside my apartment, Los Angeles, CA
Date: Mar 1, 2004
Aperture: 4.5
ISO: Auto
Shutter: 2 seconds
Galleries: Emotive, Portraiture
Date Uploaded: Mar 1, 2004

I took this during a grey, rainy day. No flash, just a flashlight with a purple gel on it, set behind me. I overexposed the shot by a 1/2 stop, with the speed set on 2 seconds. The aperature was open all the way f4.5, and the only other light was whatever was coming in from the windows (not much, since it was raining).

The finger to the lips needs to be more in focus. Not overly fond of the background, but it works with the overall look of the model... 5

This is a nice pose, but my eyes are drawn to the hot spot on the background more than the subject. Depth of field is a little shallow as well. Great idea.

I like the design of this photo, although that glare throws off the image. you lose your eye control.

Looks like hand is ghosted image due to movement/slow shutter speed. Good idea with edge lighting around head for separation from background, although it's been blown out into total white. Liked that one eye is hidden from view. Keep it up. :)

I was waiting for a finger over the lips shot. I like the blurriness and the uniqueness of the model. The only criticism I have is the line of light along the middle, it frames the subject but it's a bit blown out.

Sorry, the pink is cool but doesn't make the idea anymore creative or the composition any stronger. 3.
