thanks everyone for your comments on my first challenge submission. I was glad to see people noticed a few of my goals. I was aiming for the shadow play between the actual wires and their shadows, and also the partial capturing of the headphones. Blueswolfs' comment were exactly my thoughts. What I had composed exactly in my mind did not turn out as I had planned, but I guess that's where the P8 is lacking.
Thanks again all for your comments.

Good product representation. the shadows and lighting works, but would like a touch more light to bring out a little more detail

Nice DOF. Thanks also for NOT including the entire headphones in the frame, allowing the viewer's mind to 'fill in the rest'. Many others would have included it all, making it look more like a product shot. My only problem is that these mystery headphones could have been unplugged from a stereo system rather than an MP3/CD player, which could make this scene quite the opposite of silent. As you can see, it might raise more questions in the viewer's mind than the obvious conclusion you had hoped for. But hey, don't get me wrong, sometimes that's a GOOD thing! :)

very good idea. the over all image is a bit dark for my tastes but I'll allow for symbolism....hope that was your intent. Love the shadows intertwined with the wire.
