 These are some cool cats that I work with- the two women are staffers & the two men are members of Families United For Racial & Economic Equality (FUREE). They are speeling out the word LOVE. Not much to this picture other than ditching the colour & adding sepia tones, crop & border, then a resize.

Hello Everyone!

Thanks so much to everyone that dropped a comment on this shot. This was the fastest shoot ever for me! I took just two shots! Had fun tho as short as it was. I wish I could have done some advacne editing on it to even out the contrast but at las I could not!

I love this and have viewed it several times since I did my initial voting (10) and now my voting fine tuning (10). Whilst the traditional technical measures of a "good" image (such as composition, background etc) aren't the best they could be, this image packs an incredible punch, regardless. It conveys silence and the reality of living in a silent world very very strongly. I also love the feeling of connection with your subjects. An exceptional image and my joint-favourite this challenge.

This is nice! truly on original idea. Spelling the word Love makes it even better. The lighting could be better, though. The lady on the left of the image is a little bright and tends to stand out.

I had a similar idea involving sign language instead of fingerspelling, but didn't have a chance to do it. This picture gets a 10 from me! I'm deaf (or hearing-impaired for you politically-correct folks), so I'm a bit biased. ;-) Models are wonderfully photogenic and I love the desaturated effect!

Great idea for "silence". Lighting on one face is a bit bright. Lights (or whatever it is) in the background is a bit distracting. Score: 5

The sense of fun and comaraderie given off by the models in this photo make the message of LOVE seem genuine, thus meriting this photo a big fat 10, and my pick for a blue ribbon!
