 Tom Steed lake, south about 35-40 miles (for our metric fans out there thats around 50 to 60 kilometers, lol) This is an older shot but I love this place, this time of year there are few who venture out to the lake and it's very quiet and serene, the kind of place where the only sounds are that of your on breathing and the beat of your heart countered by the relentless winds blowing through the rocks. I love to go there occationally and just sit and listen, not the most beautiful place on earth but very powerful none the less...

I think it is a beautiful place & your description was great, I could imagine sitting there in near silence just relaxing & thinking, hearing a bird every once in a while maybe. Very nice.

The brightness of the reflection in the lake is great. With the darkness of the sky, the normal perception of a shot over water seems to be inverted.

Nice and sunny! I can see where some would think it's not beautiful, but that's probably why it's so peaceful. No one's around to trash it up.

oh, so smooth and dramatic; I love how you finished this, the water looks so smooth and inviting, the tree in its barren-ness has such a poignant feeling
