This just goes to show that you can't use your score to determine whether your entry is good or not. When I look at this outside of the challenge context I realize what a good photo it is. I actually think I overlooked it because it wasn't "yellow enough" (whatever that means). I see it now and think I'd be happy to have that on my wall.

Not sure if I like the border but its certainly different and given me something to think about so thats all good stuff. Good sharpness on the leaf against a non-distracting, but still quite interesting background.

Very simple composition..in a good way. The bokeh works well and I even like the subtle frame.

Beautiful lighting and DOF effect created here. I think a bit of more cropping would help them picture to be more powerfuul !
