Found this an interesting place. The mixture of hair braiding and automotive work is strange. Was gonna use in YELLOW IV, but once I realized no editing was allowed and I could not edit out those phone wires...well the image just did not work. So I am anxious to get some feedback on this image since I had to almost beg the owner to photograph his place. I got the feeling a lot of people have found this interseting to photograph also.

Very funny shot. Get your tires changed and your hair braided while you wait. The yellow really pops out at you. Nice shot.

That is definitely a unique combination. Are they closed Sundays? Might me a better time to take a photo without getting hassled. I'd suggest very early in the morning but auto service places tend to open pretty early.

The splash of yellow is really attractive in an otherwise grey-looking picture.

It is definitely a yellow building. The Hair Braiding/Tire Shop is quite strange. I like your perspective.

Tires and braids. I suppose that's one way to kill two birds with one stone! I don't know why you had to beg the owner to take a photo? It's nice and bright, I'm sure it gets a lot of peoples attention.

Thanks for your reply Germaine. I guess since I am a former telephone engineer who's job it was for 20 years to engineer telephone service and LOOK at these "wires" by photo-eye has been permamently corrupted.
After the contest is over for yellow IV or abandoned buildings, I hope you will agree as to why I dropped this image and chose the other image. Being secret for obvious reasons! LOL
But, I agree totally with your comments as to the crop choices.
And, so far as ever returning...mmmmmm...that may not be a good idea. I don't think #1 this is a really safe neighborhood, and #2 I don't think I could photograph on the sly. But your comment is making me think about returning somehow.
I had to beg the owner for permission and since this place is as you say, curious, he gets a lot of photos taken of this place. If anyone from Georgia wants to know where this is, I will gladly share that info.
Again, TY for your feedback!

Hair braiding and tires! That's got to be a one-of-a-kind establishment! Personally, I wouldn't have let those wires bother me -- they go with the scene.

My only suggestion would be to tighten up the crop -- there's a lot of pavement in the foreground, and it's not as interesting as that yellow building and the signs.

I might go back when no one's around and take a series of pictures of the windows -- there's an awful lot going on that's worth taking a picture of. Also, I don't know if I'm crazy about the car. It's there, and it's in keeping with the scene, but it gets in the way of the building.

This is a great find -- just the kind of quirky shot I love.
