I took this shot at the National Botanical Garden in DC. The violence of the yellow caught my eye. Not a groundbreaking shot, but quite lovely. I did not make any edits to this shot other than reducing the image size. I'm still learning how to use my camera, so all shots are taken on auto settings. This one was taken in the closeup setting.

Hi Serenety. I like the flowers. This is a good example of a shot that could really get some pop with not terribly much editing effort. Even a minor "curves" adjustment would add contrast.

Try your camera in aperture priority mode and play around with depth of field. You can do some pretty amazing things with the lens wide open (which is the smallest F-stop).

Pretty flowers. Lighting and color are a little flat. I'm not sure which flower to focus on since they're all in focus. I think I'd like to see a different angle with some in focus and some out showign depth.
