About a mile from my home lives an elderly gentleman (80s) who has the most fascinating collection of "well maintained junk." He gleaned most of it from his Father who worked for the railroad when there was one here, and later, many other mechanically-oriented jobs. I could spend weeks snapping pictures at his place and, over time, probably will.

This shot is of a portion of an early threshing machine (automatically separates grain from the wheat chaff). The machine dates back to the 1920's but is in good enough condition that it could probably be made to work again.

I like the way you emphasized the "Old" by making the picture in B & W.

Very nice. I wish it were a bit sharper, though.

Very nice. The cropping works well as does the choice to go b/w. The composition is good and the focus is spot on.

This appears to be the side of a McCormick-Deering Seperator. Nice Job!

perhaps a different angle would have been interesting. very 'middle toned'.. with things being either in the middle grey area.. pure white,.. or almost black. :(
