Nice look!! The desaturation editing works very well here. The lemon looks yummy.

I like the selective color only on the lemon.

You've just put Elements on your computer and this is your first attempt at 'playing'? WOW. Absolutely top-notch use of selective desaturation ( a technique too-often used and, indeed, used poorly on many occasions) and a superb border, too.

I like both versions. For a yellow challenge I'm betting this one would do better just because the eye is drawn so instantly to the yellow in the shot ;-)

Very cool to have your own lemons, BTW!

Nice experiment result. The centered composition would draw fire from the "rule of thirds" police in a challenge, but I like the way you have centered the subject. The border is nice too.

selective desat is to our time what fonts were to us in the 80's and early 90's. A little variation is great, too much is distraction (like when people discovered all these fonts and documents looked like ransom notes!)
THIS photograph is an excellent example of judicious use in selective desat, in other words there is a point to it. not desat just because you can, but because it draws you to the subject. nicely done
