Tonemapped from three RAW files, bracketed...damn, I should have checked my ISO. It was at 1000, leading to a really quick shutter on the middle image. Still and all, I think it came out OK.
Post-processing: Resize, Neat Image, unsharp mask. Levels, curves in an x-process acid-ish tone backed off to 25% in normal blend (thanks Melethia), a second layer with Virtual Photographer/anvil backed off to 30% in normal blend. A touch of dodge 'n burn on the sky. Border, save for 200k.
I took about 3 hours and toured the various locations around my region (lots of rivers and streams), but this was one of the first scenes on my card. Oh, the time I could have saved! :-P |

That one dark cloud draws my eye from the beauty of the rest of the photo. |

Seems a bit overprocessed for my tastes but the composition is nice. |

The colors and textures of the sky and river are great, but the trees just seem harsh against the softness of the rest of the photo. I like the arrow made by the old pier/stumps that points me downriver. |

Looks chilly out. Maybe a touch more contrast would be good. |

I would crop a little differently here. Crop out the wood pylons in the river on the bottom. Overall, though I like the feel of this photo. 6 |
