 Shot in the southside of Matosinhos, a seaside town just outside Porto. This used to be a big industrial town, and has lots of buildings like this: old factories, mainly of canned fish, left to rot until some clever builder picks it up, levels the place and produces a shiny, glass-clad new business building.
The most striking thing for me are the doors, which are very battered but still exhale an air of dignity and poise.

This is an excellent example of leading lines. Your eye is drawn strongly towards the upper right of the picture. In this photo, it serves to draw the eye away from the foreground to the non-descript background. Try cropping this just past the first rectangle window grill, and see what you think.
