What a pain... I have those scenes every time the guests are in. Despite the flash the detail and lighting are fair and composition is adequate.

interesting take on the challenge...maybe would have worked better for me if she didn't have the animal but had the same look??

Good idea. I think the lighting needs some work, however. I think you used a flash on this?

Try bouncing the light off of the ceiling, should get rid of the harsh shadows. This doesn't meet the challenge for me.

The expectation i see is on frame here - her reaction to someone trying to take Stitch. very harsh shadows fromthe flash distract, not enhance, the pic.

Cute kid. You met the challenge well. There is just something stark about this shot (maybe harsh light?). I still like it though.

the idea is nicely composed but flash is overpowering. The lighting would be more effective if outside or near bright lamp.
