inside one of the many abandoned buildings from this hospital complex over hundreds of acres. Was used for the mentally unstable from early 1900's to 1996. The hospital was known as a successful hospital where many folks were treated and received educations.

had to rest the camera on the window sill to get the slow shutter speed necessary.

PP- opened RAW in ACR. crop. layers for levels. curves layer to do acid treatment from Melethia's tutorial. black and white layer reduced to about 20% opacity. selective color layer to downplay green hue. Noise Ninja, shadows highlights. USM at large radius. resize, USM again. added border. saved for web

Steve! I love this one - very different from many of your entries and it really works. I think this was greatly underappreciated. I didn't get to vote, but I would have given this at least an 8. I have always wanted to go shoot at Norwich, but I was always afraid to have the security guys show up!

The composition and the way the doorways lead you into the darkness really adds to the metaphor.
