Of your bird shots, this is my fav. I like the very relaxed pose of the bird preening, and the detail in the feathers. Everyone else has suggested a crop to remove most of the pelican in the BG. If I had to do that crop, I would crop to vertical with the head feathers right near the top, and use a blur vignette to put the pelican more out of the shot while still keeping the primary bird as much as possible.
It's a beautiful scene, just as you posted it. Somehow, to other bird seems to suggest that there is a flock nearby.

lovely- j find the mother? a bit distracting -think that it really should be just a bit lighter if it is the parent i think it would show more of an emotional bond

Great detail on the feathers and it is not wahsed out in the bright areas which is difficult on an all white bird. Have to agree with the others that the Pelican in the background is distracting and takes awaysw from the bright feel of the shot. Good job overall.

Nice detail on the feathers there. The background is distracting though and wish I could see more of that interesting head. Is this the only pic you got of that bird? A series of shots would seemingly yield a couple really good ones.

I like it too. I think a different crop would have been better. Maybe a longer crop. I would also get rid of the pelican in the background because it ruins the shot for me. The photo is very clear but possibly a little bright.
