 I took this shot outside of Banff National Park in Alberta Canada on my way to the airport on the last day of my vacation. I pulled off the highway and drove around looking for some water to put in the picture foreground to catch the reflection of the mountain. I got lucky and found this little pond and only had to take a short hike to get around to the proper side of it for the photo.

I was tempted to enter this shot in the Sept. free study, but chose a wildlife photo I really liked instead because I thought it looked better at the 640pixel limit. That one didn't score well, so I hope this does better, though I think 720 pixels is still too small to do it justice.

My tripod was already packed in my luggage, so I shot this handheld while also holding a graduated ND filter in front of the lens.

Captured in RAW. White balance, saturation and sharpness were adjusted in Canon DPP then imported into Photoshop where the levels were adjusted, the image was resized sharpened and saved as a JPG.

Great reflection in the water. May have had the horizon a little higher with a small amount of sky as the the focus is definitely on the reflection. Also the mountain needs some contrast as a lot of sections are a little bleached, especially on the left side of the image. Good Luck. 5.
