It's possible to see here examples of the false fronts on many Victorians. They help carry out the architect's theme. The detail on the front of this type of home can be just spectacular.

You make me want to walk down the street to take in all the color and variety. Don't know when I'll get out to that part of the country again, but when I do..........

That is very strange! It looks like just a thin front? Is the actual building much smaller or something? You are right about the detail, it is spectacular on some of these buildings.
