 Macro using reverse mounted 50mm f/1.8 lens.

Flash with shoot-through umbrella camera left. The trigger contacts on my cheap flash don't work properly anymore so I had to do a long exposure and trigger the flash manually with the test button. I fired the flash six (or seven) times during the 24 second exposure, that allowed me to shoot at f/11 (or f/16, no coupling between camera and reversed lens means no aperture information recorded) while at ISO 200.

Converted from RAW in Lightroom. Noise reduction. Cloned out some sensor dust. Resize, smart sharpen and save for web.

Different. With the title I may have tried to at least have drawn a little line as if the pen was in motion gliding across the page. Good Luck. 6.

Simple, but nice colour contrast and good lines. It gets me thinking about what it is, which is good.

The composition works extremely well, great minimalist design. And there's a contrast between hardness and softness in the image, and the different hues of blue work really well. Great work.
