Well, it's pretty much framed by darkness on top, right, and bottom. This was taken on January 19th, around 7 P.M., while flying around Navy Pier in Chicago, IL. Used my Olympus e-510, barely any contrast editing to show the "frame", so I don't expect too high of a score. I couldn't really use much equipment, or even a flash, due to the danger it could cause to the pilot and myself, since we were in a flying 1964 or so beechcraft...with a broken heater....in -20 celcius temps. Fun times were had by all, though. Cold, fun, times.
Or, as suggested by a friend, if you've ever developed 35mm film, I'm sure you have tried to do 2 exposures on one piece of photo paper, to make a neat looking photo of two photos. Well, you can think of the black bar, which is part of the cockpit, as a divider between pictures on a film strip, and the left and right sides of the cityscape as two seperate photos, also suggesting a frame. |

The gauges match the challenge, but the blur on them is distracting. |

The guages are a bit distracting, but it is a cool shot. |

I find it a bit too indistinct |

I guess you could say the city is framed in darkness. It looks like people looking at the city, but they are too blurred to tell. |

I don't see a frame I just see a black bar cutting right through the middle of the subject. |

This must be a difficult shot to take! I think you've got a decent result. |
