very cool. sometimes I like the focus play in shots and sometimes it's cheasy (the wedding photographer I used to work for did it and didn't pull it off at all) but this works well. I think it works because there is something going on in either case... other times when it's done is with trees or something equally unexciting and then there is no point to the focus play I think. |

this is really cool! maybe i would have done the top shot a bit different tho: having her face turned away to the left so that she's lookin out of the frame would give the idea that both you and her are lookin in different directions, your eyes and mind focusing on the background scene, until -and that is displayed in the second shot- both of you get eye contact, the focus is on her, in that moment everything in the background fades away, becomes unimportant and blurry. that way you would be tellin a story of a flirt rather than just showing things as they are, it would provide a time frame of those two unique moments.

I'm with others, totally diggin' the Overlay. I also really like the composition and crop, nicely done! |

Hey, I love this. Cool technique for a diptych. I'll have to steal it borrow the idea before the year is out.

I like the way you used the different focus here. the rays of light in the background are cool!
imo the overlay could've been a bit more edgy. |
