Okay, I get the shell, the bottom, the water. Light on the bottom is nice. Colors on the shell are nice. Composition is okay. But the subject fails to hold my interest.

The image appears to be a bit blurry. However, I LOVE your composition!

Image appears grainy and I do not like all the bubbles (which I realize is beyond your control). Focus needs to be a lot tighter here to score well. Sorry. Good Luck. 3.

Is this really a best for 2007?

Well, I like the idea. However, the detail is really soft and very noisy. I am sure you probably were seeing some nice ripples of light when you took the image, but it is totally lost in the exposure you chose to use. I do like the desat and the black and white treatment. To get better clarity you might need a closer vantage point. If this was an extreme crop, that may be where you lost a lot of detail and clarity.

Not sharp enough for a Macro shot.
