I really liked this shot - a bit surprised it didn't feature a lot higher in the ranking. It's a bold statement. I gave this a 9...for me the desaturation only served to move focus to the togetherness of the hands, rather than weirdly discolourised forearms. I reckon you'd do really well at a stock photography place with this image...(team work, togetherness etc). |

I like the idea that your trying to grasp. Dont really think that the color combination is planned out all that well. |

Not sure if the Color/B&W works for this. |

I like the use of selective desaturation. |

I like the focus on the hands, but the black and white on the arms makes it look like they are sick. Pretty cool picture tho! |

This rules. Great idea. Nicely done too and great comp. You done good with the central crop and the colours are nice too.
If i'm being nitpicky (which i am) I would suggest giving it all a bit mroe contrast to make the arms look a bit more rounded and to increase the tones of the black and white. Also, maybe having the other 'big hand' at the top would have balanced it better. It looks like both the adult hands are at the bottom which makes it look a bit heavy down there. But still, it's one of the most 'human' images I've seen so far.
Great title too :) |

I like the composition and the idea but I hate the selective desaturation you did, sorry. It just looks too odd. |

Nicely done. The selective desat takes away from this image, at least for me. |

Horrible - in a fascinating way, that is. The implication of your title is certainly carried out in the image - the de-saturated parts of the arms seeming ly having the pallor of death and decay, especially enhanced by the flesh tones being so unaffected. I don't like the metaphysical implications at all however - that implication that only in groups can we have any meaning is surely anathema: what possibility for individual genius in that world? If everything is concensus then everything is mediocre. |

conceptually one of the bests in the challenge. partial desaturation is a matter of choice but i see why you went that way. |

I like the concept, and the execution is great. I don't care for the desaturation. |

Nice idea. The desaturation of the arms is distracting to me. It give a ghostly effect to the image. Maybe that's what you intended. |
