Is that an HP-48SX? I have one of those... HP calculators are the best. RPN all the way baby! Oh yeah, about the photo... definitely shows one aspect of "design and engineering". But perhaps a bit too much stuff? Maybe focusing on just the calculator, notepad, pencil, etc?

Definitely fits the challenge, but it just isn't that interesting or artistically done. Looks like just a random picture of a table and electrical apparatus. There is too much in this picture. I think I would have liked it if you zoomed in on that green plastic instrument with an interesting angle. Sorry to criticize. I know we all like to hear the good things about our pictures, but I have learned the most from the criticisms.

Good shot of the red/green thingee, but there is quite a bit of stuff here. Sometimes a simple photo tells the story well. However, good focus and nice colors.

A fill reflector right would have been nice.

uninteresting lighting, seems a little soft, or blurry, like it was taken at 1/60 or so ....
