The squirrels in my yard get a treat or two when I feed my parrots. I put some of the left over parrot feed on the big vines on the side of one of the big oaks for them to enjoy. This one is getting rather tame. The leaf in the background is a philadendron leaf on the vine behind the squirrel.

Manual focus Nikkor 300mm 4.5 ED IF hand held, no filter.

This is a good enough shot as it is. Knowing that it was manually-focussed only adds to my feeling of admiration. The bokeh is superb and really makes the photo stand out, as it perfectly provides framing, backdrop and context.

What a nutty squirrel. Great pose, does he or she charge much for the sitting fee. Seems to be keeping an eye on you though. Great composition and colors.

Cute capture of a peanut-head! That's what I call them anyways. :) Seems so unreal you can have what I call indoor plants out in your yard year around!

Cute shot! I'm surprised they look so similar to the squirrels I have in my back yard.

Caught in the act! I love the cheekyy way they wait till they're absolutely sure you're going to chase them off before retreating.

Jungle Squirrel!!! Next thing you know, he'll be swinging on the philadendron vine! I really like that soft greet background.
