This was a much better shot, in my opinion, than the final placing suggests.

Don`t be downheartened..shots that are a little different tend not to do as well as they deserve.

Very nice lab in the snow. Not sure what it is supposed to convey expectation wise. It seems satisfying and complete in itself.

Another dog looking off screen (very popular in this challenge) but this one is lovely and original. Love the snowflakes out of focus between the dog and the lens. great shot..

Fine image of a dog but dont fires up my imagination about whats of-screen. Eyes and the whole face is focused and sharp and the snowflakes (arent they?) gives a good effect. If anything it seems overcontrasted but that may be because of difficult lightning conditions and always a matter of a taste.

I don't get the feeling of an off screen expectation from this...maybe if the dog was sitting up or begging??

Interesting. I like the in-focus dog and the out of focus snow. Pictures of Labradors are always good though.

Of all the dog pictures ..this is my favourite so far.
Great angle of view and nice splash of colour.
Don`t know if the snow will be seen by some as distracting..but I think it adds to the image.

Wow. That use of blue really makes this shine. The collar got a bit washed out on the right.. but the blue in the eyes are just subtle enough to not lose the effect. This is cool. 7
