 - Shot the image. I had some problems with the light, but in the end I was satisfied. I have used a slow shutter, since I wanted just a little motion in the picture. I did not want clearness and overview but frustration, emtiness ans sorrow.

- Converted the image to greyscale
- Crop
- Shadow, black and fill light adjustments
- Export to JPEG

A sharper focus would have made this a bit more effective, I think. Technicals aside, I find myself wanting to poke a pencil through the keyhole, which is why I assume you call it painful.
