taken in our food storage. Its like -17 in there right now.
i learned allot from this shoot, and it took allot of patience, and persistence.
Some may like it, some may hate it, some may look at it and be inspired, some may look at it, cock their head to one side and say, "THIS EXPOSER SURE ISNT NICE!" but hey, im a photographer, and the best I can do is to satisfy my own vision.
Post Challenge:
I thought this did as well as i thought it would, being as it was a different take on childhood.
I wanted to portray a side of childhood some children have to suffer through. Abuse, torment, depressed, alone, cast away..ect. I didnt live this sort of childhood, but i know there are those out there who know what this is like and have had to go through it. My heart goes out to you! |

I really like this shot Kari! It has true mood... makes me feel nostalgic and a little frightened at the same time. I don't like to step outside of my box... LOL You did very well with this one! Congratulations, 53rd is nothing to sneer at :) |

Nicely moody shot, not sure it says childhood to me though. |

I really hope your childhood didn't look like this. Almost a gloomy picture. |

That's a little scary for "childhood" - certainly no distractions there... |

There is something very disturbing about this shot. Mommy Dearest springs to mind. Technically well done, but disturbing. |

Although the focus here is sharp, the electric box next to the chair does not say 'childhood' to me... more like 'danger'. The pages of the book are blown, but are supposed to be what draws my eye to the chair. I'm sorry to say *sigh*. |

Eye catching texture and composition. Relating it to childhood seems a bit creepy... makes me think of a child being locked in the cellar. (That's good that it evokes creepiness... a different take than just the normal warm and fuzzy. Disturbing but good.) |

Disturbing. I'm glad my childhood didn't look like that. I like it, but I think the GFCI outlet detracts from it (it looks too modern). |
