I was driving as fast I possible to reach Twisp so I could go to the top of this one hill that overlooks town to get a shot of the moon rising above Twisp, but I saw this fabulous image with the tree and fenceposts well placed so I stopped in the road..took this image plus 5 or 6 others before I noticed a car far behind me, so I was forced to move on and of course the hills covered the moon most of the way home until it was too high in the sky.

Too bad I didn't have time to take my tripod out and set it up on the road, but my camera was on the tripod for extra stability, but I was sitting in my car. There is nowhere to pull over...the shoulder is covered in snow to the windows of my car.

I NEVER risk my life or anyone elses for a photograph, btw.

This is beautiful! I sometimes forget how powerful the moonlight can be for nighttime photos. Very nicely done!

I'm sitting here going through these photos with my wife looking over my shoulder. We both said "Ooooh yeah" when we saw this one.

This is another great shot of the snow. I like what you did here with the cooler white balance giving it a cold feel to it. Really neat contrast in the snow as well. You also nailed the composition. This shot is really neat, very nicely done.

This shot is beautiful with the moon and only a few things sticking out of the snowy hill. This was a very good opportunity, and you saw it and got the shot. : )

This is soooo gorgeous, Darlene, I love the one little star shining. The composition is perfection with that fence leading us right up to the moon. Well done !!!
