Sometimes life is just gray, and our attempts to turn it high contrast are futile swipes at reality. Wonderfully presented. |

This really slows us down! As if you just let this come to you, no sweat. |

an excellent example of taking the mundane and turning it into some thing beautiful to look at. |

This looks like something floating in and out of water. I'm not used to using grays - that is something i have to learn - so my personal preference leans towards seeing more contrast with the background (like a lighter background). This would make a great textures piece for those overlay projects. |

Botanical subjects speak about nature and a world we often overlook. The minor details are often beautiful is what your photo tells me. |

the processing you chose clearly emphasizes the shapes of the branch and leaves - i am not sure I am crazy about the high degree of gray present (i like more separation of the whites from the grays) - but it's yours so it is a personal choice! |

Nice diagonals. You might consider lightening up the background a bit. |

I like the compostion and the softness in the background. I think a little more contrast would really put more emphasis on the plant itself.

I like the composition and B&W. It has a nice dreamy feel to it. |

This is an interesting composition and I really like the hard diagonal line created and the balanced dark tones on either side. The in focus area in the lower left kinda bothers me though. I would prefer the whole thing to be soft or the whole thing to be in focus..but not half and half. |

A quiet image, and based on the info Bud pulled from the exif, a very good example of the wonderful bokeh the 50/1.8 can produce. |

Hey Ben, this is a relaxed side challenge so don't think you need to rush!
That said, I like the image, its soft, has movement though more black and grey than B&W on my monitor.
I do like to see exif/shot data when I comment as I glean tips and tricks from it ;)
so took the liberty of gleaning that info for others...

This is nice - I like the diagonal of the branch and the way it fades to OOF. |

Oooooh, I like this one. This soft dreamy style really appeals to me. And the contrast of the leaves and the bokeh. . . yummy ! ! ! |
