The light and colour and composition are pretty good, and you managed to get the shine on the leaf and the iridescence on bug legs and spots, no small thing. Macro focus is extremely difficult even with a tripod, and at f2.8 you have to decide on a very thin plane of focus, which is a difficult call with a roundish bug. Smaller aperture would help. He is a beautiful bug and he fills the frame nicely. He is unfortunately out of focus and there is quite a lot of noise in the image. Using a tripod and a lower iso would probably help. |

Definitely close up but it isn't very sharp and the lighting is very harsh. 3 |
