 Off to the left is what we call the Bike Path, officially probably something like a paved multi-use trail ;-) It parallels the Fairfax County Parkway for way more miles than I am every likely to hike, and is easily accessible from my house by going up the street and turning left. It is where I walk my dog(s) most days, for about 3.5 miles roundtrip. While there are always cars passing I choose to see the landscaping, the bits of parkland and trees that intersect with it, the sunsets, and the stream that runs underneath the bridge in the distance. It's amazing what you can tune out.

Nice depiction of the area.. I walk w Ruby about 3mi round trip frequently.. Gets us both out and u do notice things along the way..

It is great to have a path for multi-use. The yellows warm up the blues and grays. We have one under way on the East side of the island and it will probably be completed some time in this decade or the next depending on City Councils battles over it.
