I agree with you, for sure, I despise partial desaturation, but it fits this picture perfectly. Great lighting, too! Is it a continuous source or a flash? |

I had to look up converse to find out what it is. It has good lighting overall with some hot spots. I would score it higher in advertising .. if that says anything. |

Just voted on another pair of shoes saying how the background was distracting, the viewpoint, if lower, would have added interest and the lighting wasn't great. Here is a perfect example of how to get things right. Great lighting, well positioned subject and nicely composed. |

cool shoes like how you left them in color |

What exactly does the title have anything to do with the picture. Still a good shot though. |

i like the picture. the blue stands out very well, but i'm not sure that blue chucks are old. |

Yes, chucks have been around for a while, but they look a little to new... |

I really like this shot. It makes me smile :) I do wish the border was the same color as the shoes, though, and not green. Just a minor nit pick. I like the selective desat here. |

Excellent. The selective desaturation (and the cyan) really makes this work. An eight for you. |

Very nice photo! Not sure how it meets the challenge, though, but I love the colours and the lighting is very well accomplished. |

Not sure if they are old ways or not. They are actually very popular again these days. What goes around comes around. It's a very good shot though, and the turquoise color is VERY '60s. I like the casually angled feet. |

Other than the greenish frame around the image, I really like the image. The perspective is really fun! |

good picture but the shoes look very new and nice. Could have been better if they showed some use |

I really like the image - the lighting and composition are great. Not sure if people will see this as fitting the challenge though. They look pretty new and there are still a lot of Converse around... |

love the shot. im drawn to the top of the left shoe as it seems very long due to the angle it is in. the blue pops right out of the picture. |

Wow! I love this shot! Great angle and close-up, beautiful isolation of color (especially great if you stayed within basic editing rules), love the way the sneaker toes are pointed in and on top of each other. The legs are just enough to hint at legs but dimly lit such that they make you think. Awesome shot. 10! |

How did you get just the shoes to be colored? I love this picture by the way! |

this photo is amazing! I couldn't recommended anything except to maybe try cropping gout the legs, so it leave just the converses. Other than that great photo! Great color as well |

I guess it's all relative, but from my perspective (61 yrs of age) TURQUOISE Converses are new-wave, not old-wave. In the day, they came in your choice of colors as long as it was black :-)
It's a nice shot though :-) And they are certainly a throwback design. I'm not dinging you for this, just reminiscing... |

Ha, saw this on another site, and I'm glad you went with the color version. The blue really pops, and the lighting is very good. |
