 I didn't get anything for the Birds II challenge. The birds hid. But they came back out today.

I know what you mean about the birds hiding until after the challenge. Great shot, How much did the bird charge for the pose? lol!

typical bloody birds .. this would'v gone great in the challenge ...
love the way he's standing and his yellow feet and feathers given such impact with the dark background .. its a fantastic looking bird .. :)

That is a happy looking snowy egret. I see by the barnacles that it's salt water there, and low tide. You selected good settings to not blow out the bird, and to still keep the detail in the darker areas in the shot.
