I like this shot because it connects with my memory of the scent of fixer and developer, and nights spent poring over contact sheets looking for the "it factor" in the images to be printed. |

Wow, now this is an improvement from your other shots. And a Pentax in it no less! Very clear and sharp. Good tones. My only nitpicks are that the angle is uninteresting and you have some distracting glare coming off the negatives. |

Very busy for a BW image, but I think this is something a lot of older voters will remember well. |

This is a neat idea. It would have been even better if you could draw the eye towards the camera with deeper shades. |

Fairly predictable subject choice - but nicely done. Detail on the camera body is lost in the darkness, a low side light source would have overcome this and maybe added some interesting shadows |

so true... it's sad.. it seem's everyone can make photography since even with a DSLR you can just click and that's it.. a little photoshop and it's done.. the big thing with 35mm films its you have to got it right the first time..
anyway i really like this pic! |

Not necessarily a lost art, but definitely misplaced. The problem i have with digital is that I am always trying to think in 35mm and convert to digital...and lose the war almost every time.
I didn't like the "auto" cameras for myself. I had/have the Pentax K1000, the KX, MX and the 6x4 LX. To me, Pentax cannot be beat in the film cameras. Haven't experienced one in the Pentax Digitals yet.
I did buy my ex-wife the ME Super like this one and she is still using it today, almost 30 years later. Her pictures aren't as nice as this one however! (8) |
