Ed - Awesome work as usual - I was one of your 9s...

the use of strong shadows, repeated rectangles throughout the shot, the light on their backs from the left all make for an enriching and complete image

Too funny. Your angle certainly adds suspense. Also a great argument to those who say images should stand without a title. It's all quite clear but your title sends it home with great humor. Cheers!

Nicely composed, ask the question where are they going, or even coming from.

I like the textures, but I'm really not sure about the shot as a whole. I don't love it but I don't dislike it either. Wish I didn't have to be so wishy washy like that.

love the long shadows and the contrast of the dark brick wall with the smooth white wall. A great shot IMO.

very poignant shot. I've almsot got the feeling of them walking into the unknown together. The textures of bricks & cobbles as well as the long shadows look great!

Beautiful candid. The b&w really works, contrasting the brickwork with the white plaster. The backlight from the sun also really makes a big impact on the lovely older couple, both in the lighting on his jacket but the shadows on the floor. I don't know how you feel about borders but I think a small border would really help frame this lovely shot.

I think that the title does not give anything to this great shot. Love the clarity of the cobbled lane and brick work. The black and white of this image is good, lots of different blacks and white, not your bog standard flat bw.
