 I saw this old barn while out looking for birds for the birds II challenge. I had to pull over and check it out b/c I love old buildiings, especially barns. There was a no tresspassing sign so I could get past the fence so I took this from the road essentially. Funny thing is I left my canon 100-400 in the truck and when I got to the fence there was a huge owl in the field, just my luck. So I took this in IR with my 350D, pretty tough b/c the sun was coming directinly in and was causing major sunflare. I might get hammered on this with the recent old buildings challenge just being completed but oh well, it fits right for me. My thinking on this is that these barnes were bulit to last, and man do they. Nothing is built to last anymore, shitty materials, sloppy labor and cookie cutter buildings meant to last 30-50 years are what you get most the time now. Not these things, these things have character, moxy and resilence and that is why I'm drawn to them. I'll post editing later.

I really like this photo. It has very soft tones, especially in the background. Very evident of an age, weathered, and weary tone.

could have been a bit better with out the bushes, i feel it takes away from the house slightly

I like this picture because of the softness and how it makes me imagine there might be birds twittering in the distance. Some things I don't like about the picture are how it seems tilted and I'm not a fan of sepia tone.
