The wide-angle creates a rather ominous aspect to the street, but I like that because it fits for this photo. As merely a personal preference, I would probably have cropped out the van on the left, and past the cab of the truck on the right (in order to see a full car - mostly - first.) Good Job! :) |

Makes me want to walk here, just to see what there is to see. But please order me a set of clouds like those you captured; clear skies are just ever so boring. Well captured. |

Looks like an interesting place - I love the clouds! It would be a great place for some infrared work. Nice tones! |

excellent POV and the power lines, rather than being annoying, bring the viewer's eye into the image. I like how you get the best outta that WA lens!! Great feeling of the sunshine on the door & the white chairs on the side...even in B&W, looks war! |

I like how the power lines give natural lines to the composition. Kind of like training the eye to lines it doesn't know its following.. :) |

Very nice exposure I like the depth of the sky. I also find the converging line intriguing. I would normally be put-off by the lens distortion but I think it actually enhances this shot. Well done. |

The sky and the clouds are my favorite part. I love how you captured the fluff-ball details of the clouds. The clarity of the building looks really good too. I'd think that for another trip, you'd have a really interesting photo if you centered the building and used the same lens (not sure if that makes sense lol). I know you are capturing the street on the right but those buildings running along with it don't add much to the photo for me. |

Nice crisp picture. I like how the lines mimic the streets and buildings. Those colds sure pop against the dark sky. |

Fantastic B&W and what a sky you have there! I have a lot of fun with that lens too and I'm you'll see some of those from me too. |

I did a grayscale conversion in Lightroom, Levels in PS2, and ran it through Neat Image...nothing special. The sky was incredibly clear and blue, and the clouds were the big puffy type. It was a perfect sky. I have to say that the skies in New Mexico are wonderful. It has to be a pretty special day in San Diego where I live for the sky to even approach the type of skies you see in New Mexico most every day.
Lightroom detail:
Select GRAYSCALE
That brings up a set of 7 sliders for RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, GREEN, AQUA, BLUE, PURPLE & MAGENTA
The sliders cover a range of from -100 to +100 with zero being neutral.
To achieve the dark rich sky, I slid the BLUE slider in the negative direction. In this photo the BLUE value is -75
For ANY of the seven colors in your photo, a -100 will turn it black, and a +100 will turn it white. Of course any other color will be a mixture of these, so may require playing with the sliders to achieve the desired look.
In PS2, I added a Levels adustment layer to whiten up the clouds just a tad.
I hope this helps.

Love the composition and of course the sky. It must have been so very blue which really emphasizes the whiteness of the clouds. Great job. |

Am first drawn to that greaty cloud filled sky the past the main building and down the street before returning via the sky and then ..... you get the idea ;)
A couple of old trucks in the foreground would have made this timeless.

I like the white on the door and the plastic chairs and I like how the one side of the street appears so much more vibrant than the other. |

I really like shots like this. Really lets me see your part of the world. I can help but notice how small those streets are. No wonder it's a one-way. That corner building looks like a fun place to sit and check out the drivers that go by. Love the clouds too! |

You remind me that clouds are accentuated even more when a photo taken with a polarizer is converted to b/w. An off-centre vanishing point and bright sunlight are also useful tools to use. |

Wonderful rich tones, and a well cared for street. I love your post processing on this one. The composition is also very pleasing to the eye, with the diagonals leading the eye right down the street. |

Well, I'm sure glad you didn't have something fresh and make us miss this one :) This is very cool. It looks so old-timey, which I love in photos! I bet it is a fun little street to stroll around on with all the art there.
Sharp as a tack too! Excellent! I am looking forward to seeing more of your stuff :) |

awesome contrast and wonderful use of wide angle - the only thing lacking is some pedestrians to give it a really lived in look |
