Directions to this place, please. I need to walk there, at this exact time, with that man on the street and those precise lights on. It is, in its way, perfect, and a delight to my eyes. |

Very nice! I like the haze/grey cast to this. |

The BW brings out the feeling of night more than the colour version, pleasing as that is. As well, the many curving lines of the street are more evident, and we feel the lone walker about to merge into the darkness. |

This is really nice. I haven't used that .4 sec delay. I will have to give it a shot. :) |

Great capture of lighting - I love how you can see everything from the foreground to the background. I like that the black and white tones down the blue neon sign a bit and gives it a little more of an old world feel. |

What stands out here is the mostly lit center following down the road. The lone figure on the left gives this some nice human interest. |

there is a cleanliness about this image -in spite of the graffiti - that jumps out at me. the placement of the man strolling out or home or...adds a nice humanity to the image |

The sinuous vanishing point that leads to who knows where. And that place is where the viewer's imagination can travel to in your photo. A dark night can be used to guide the eye in a gentle way, is what I learn from you. |

You managed to get good balance between the dark and the light spots in this shot. The positioning of the road, relative to the shot makes for a very pleasing view. |

Great capture Nikolaos ;) and you did well looking at the cam settings - thought about a tripod or were you just passing?
Brick paved street as well, am sure you can get plenty more great shots there. My only niggle is the cropped off lamp and would have preferred all of the lamp in the shot too.

Wow, this is excellent for hand held at that time of day. I love this, my eyes go straight up the street. Well done! |

Fabulous capture - so clear and bright - in a night sort of way. Love the composition, too.

Cool night shot, I liek the man walking down the street as he adds a bit of unease in the shot. |

So far, this is one of my favorite photos in the side challenge. I like the way the street, and the street lights lead you into the photo. Did you use noise reduction software on this? I find that when I convert to B&W, I often get quite a bit of noise in the sky, especially. |

I really liked the b/w version before I opened the color one...but the color one has such amazing tones it really steals the show! Wonderful composition so both are interesting to look at. |

This is so strange.. don't get me wrong..great shot! Love the details and lights and the cobble stone street, but what really gets me is, if I was walking on the right hand side of the street and wanted to go back in time. All I would have to do is cross the street. |

I really like this - the light is perfect. Love how it wanders down one side of the street moreso than the other, as though one side is more desirable. And top that off with the "shady character" wandering down the darker side. Exceptional cripsness and clarity for the slowish shutter and open aperture - hand held? If so, I'm insanely envious. |

Oh, I love the feel of this charming street, and the night photography makes it even more appealing to me. Where is this?? I love the curved lines of the street. It looks like a place I would so enjoy strolling down at night.
Really a great photo!
