 Alternative title: "Cold War Legacy"

In the skies over Korea, the Mikoyan-Gurevich MIG-15 outclassed all other fighters except for its nemesis, the F-86 Sabre.

This MIG-15 now guards the parking lot of an antique shop just outside Dallas.

Great shot... you can really feel it's age and the feel of nostalgia in this photo. You're use of the selective desat also lends to this. I would however have liked to see maybe a bit more of the plane itself. had this been a challenge entry your title doesn't really tell me what it is, and many wouldn't be able to fogure out what it is from the shot as it is (unles you had put it in a puzle macro challenge?)

I think the contrast on this is spot on and the border helps to keep the eye contained in the shot.

As for how this would have done in a challenge??? well DPC is a fickle crowd... who knows... pending on the challenge I might have scored this a 7 or 8

Definitely has an historic feel to it. This one really grabs the eye with the mainly black and white. I agree for dp it might have not scored super high, but if I were rating it I would most likely have started with a 6 and adjusted up or down after looking at the other shots.
