Every day to and from work, I look forward to seeing this swan, all by himself/herself.
Perhaps someday they'll make a match and be a pair. Yep, it was beginning to ice up.

Not the best shot. But seeing them serenely swimming makes me feel peaceful.

I really like the composition here, Jeanne - the tree in the foreground and the sweeping lines of the shoreline and ice. The swan is positioned just perfectly. It's a very compelling shot - the lonely swan. Beautiful.

This shot is just so calm and has that painterly look to it. It has a bit of everything, texture, lines, curves, and the lone swan.

I love the icing up look here and the color of the blue water is incredible. The inclusion of the tree in the foreground is a nice touch. I hope to see more of the swan as well, in your photos.

The tree really works as a nice little border.

The only change I'd make in this is perhaps cropping out most of the black at the top and leave only a bit showing - more like a border than a space. Love the shape of the ice surrounding the beautiful swan.

What a great way to start & end the working day.
Are there other swans in the area?
Nice composition BTW.

Yes Jeanne. This is very serene and also I think very cold. Love the way the frame compliments the tree in the foreground.
