Before I read your comments I noticed the shadow detail, and that certainly is due to the pseudo HDR effect. The grass in the foreground really makes the shot for me; I get the effect that it's being blown by the wind, which can be seen also in the clouds.
When you get a chance try some bracketed shots and merge to HDR. I've found that different programs give different results for the HDR and the tonemapping. |

This picture has somewhat of a surreal effect. I can't stop looking at it. So many nice textures you captured. Superb job! I think I see the guy. |

Beautiful shot Henk-Jan (I hope that's right). Great job on the HDR. Love all the textures in this - the foreground grass is so wispy, and the fluffy clouds feel so soft and gentle. |

I love this tonemapped version, it has so much texture and wonderful contrast in the sky! Thank goodness for HDR :-) |

Wow! You've really had the elements there this morning. What a lovely place to walk. Really like the B & W version. It seems to enhance the DOF and give more of a vastness to the terrain. |

What a beautiful scene. Yep, see that little man way down there. I'm not sure if I prefer the colored or the BW version, they're both very compelling.
Love the whispy nature of the dune grasses, and that sky is awesome. |

I think it looks fantastic!! I've been wanting to try HDR really bad for some time now, I just need to get the right software. Well done! |

What a beautiful place to visit. Personally, I am struggling with the current HDR craze. I am wondering if you could not have captured this same image with just a bit of patience and adjustment with the camera.
Still, you have captured a lovely site, bravo. |
