 go Team Noob! besides cloning a blemish on my forehead,i tried to keep within the "basic rules" set,im working on my indoor lighting to make a more natural image,im a mcguyver-type(you wouldnt believe my set-ups it gets ridiculous flashlights/lavalamp bases/clip lamps,lol) i hope this is better than my day 1

funny shot. I would have used levels to make the background darker so you don't compete against the lines pattern on it. This would still be in your basic editing and help you pop out even more I think. the shirt rocks BTW.

its flat, but i love the expression and your enthusiasm, both in wanting to learn more in portraits and in the photo. I love it!

Your colour is SO much better Jon!! The shirt and expression crack me up!! Light is pretty good, but work on getting some depth with it :)

Hey, McGuyver photography is great L()L, you can't beat the ingenuity. Great expression and pose. Maybe play a tad with curves a touch to get a little more contrast/pop out if the colours light/darks. Very fun image.
