Yes, that's real facepaint and not a photoshop job. I got a taste for it doing the Clowns challenge and now I want to do it at every opportunity. How weird does that make me?! And no, I don't want to wear women's makeup either (but that's the plan for tomorrow!).
Problem here is the focus isn't on the eye, but I was dicking about in the dark again and getting focus where I want whilst maintaining DoF was a pain, so I gave up (!)
Lit from 2x430ex, one at my feet and one handheld at arms length front right of me (I need stands and brollies badly).
PP: not much - convert from raw, bit of contrast, drop exposure 0.25, burnt in eyes to give a more devilish look (and to help reduce the lack of focus), noise ninja, add border, resize, usm, save for web.

That's quite a bit of dedication to the cause. |

Yeah, focus on the eyes would have improved this. But it looks like it was loads of fun to do. |

Your focus may not be perfect on the eyes, but this is really neat! I can't believe you actually used all that face paint, that would drive me crazy! lol
Very cool, love the title too. |

What a great makeup job.. whoa. Nicely done portrait. Light's nice... some quibble about things like duelling catchlights (left eye), but not me... ;-)

Seems a tad oversaturated, what was your white balance set to? :-P LOL
Great shot and effort!

Pretty fantastic makeup job and I know what ya mean, I used it a few times and I love it. Even have a video of me applying makeup for my Devilish images, do a search you will find the posting in the forums if interested. Even though the focus isn't on the eyes I think it works rather well here because of the smoothness of the makeup. That appears to be some very nice makeup you are using. |

Yes, I've done the face paint SPs, too, but not applied as well as it is here. Good job. |

The Blue Man pissed off! Love the paint and the crop. I have tried using an appeture at about F8 or even 11 to try and get focus a little better when shooting myself. |

more face paint! I really like your shot, the red is very evil and devious looking, and your eyes look dilated which makes it even more creepy! Great job! |

Today must be paint day. I really like this. Those pupils are HUGE. I would have gone with a more devious smile to match the title. |
