I'd always planned to do more of this kind of shot after my first effort:

I'm not entirely happy with this:
- although the camera was level, it was pointed off to the right, so the perspective seems off
- the bright part of the left shoulder on the guy facing away looks like a badly used flash, but it's really sunlight from a window behind me reflecting off our coffee table

This was supposed to be an easy one - nowhere near the four hours of masking needed for the other one. But I didn't realize how much the three guys on the left overlapped.

Lit with the chandelier and sunlight through the window in the frame and behind me. No flash.

This is four layers. From the bottom up:
1) Robed guy on left
2) Guy in the middle facing the robed guy
3) Standing guy on right
4) T-shirt guy in the middle

The t-shirt is from my graduate school days. The quote is from writer Toni Morrison: "As you enter positions of trust and power, dream a little before you think."

Seemed pretty appropriate, since our degree was in public administration!

If you want to try this yourself, check out my tutorial. :)

Well done. It takes quite a bit of effort to take all these shots in different costumes.

great shot. I always love these types of shots. The guy in the braves hat may want to avoid the sports page if he doesn't want to cry on a regular basis:P

I think the guy on the right takes life too seriously.

Good on you for getting a multiple you in so early.

Nice fun image, Very great I also enjoy the interaction. You did an extremely nice job of masking this all together. Very nice. I had to look a bit to find the 'bright spot' you were talking about, for me I see it more on the back of the arm stead the shoulder. Didn't really notice it till I went looking for it.

Still only counts as one:) And you should really stop hanging out with yourself so much. Fun shot.

Love it, Jeffrey. Glad to see you're in. Wife's worst nightmare?

Your flash put a weird shadow/higlight up around the corner of the window. it's a bit distracting.
