 Even if this picture doesn't do as well as I'd like, I'll still be proud of it. But I hope it does VERY well because here's what I had to go thru to get this damn shot:

First, as I pulled onto the beach my truck got stuck in the sand. I had to call my partner at work to beg for help. Luckily, a nice guy pulled me out with his truck. Close call.

So then, I've got my tripod set up and the bottle stuck in a huge mound of sand as the tide slowly rolled in. That didn't look so hot in the picture, I'd have to get lower and lose the mound of sand. So I layed on my stomach in the sand and shot a few frames as the tide not so slowly rolled in. So now my tripod is all sandy, my shoes, socks, jeans, and shirt are soaked and my corona bottle is rolling around in the water. No biggie...I'm having fun.

Until I see that the guy raking the sand with his big tractor thing is about 3 seconds from running over my tripod! Phew...saved it. Oh yeah, then my camera starts beeping it's little battery signal at me. I thought these were freshly charged? Guess not. So I snap a few more frames while laying in a huge pool of water and call it a day.

But I still love my shot!

Congrats on a top 20! I like hearing about how much it took to get the shot - you pulled it off pretty capably considering your various adversaries. :)

Well, it's a beautiful ad, and your enjoyment of your accomplished photo will last long after the memories of all the hassles fade away, right? I'm glad it did well! Congratulations on a top 20 finish.

Nice composition; definitely getting the idea of relaxing on a beach with a Corona. The blue water sets off the gold of the beer nicely.

Haha, this made me laugh right off. I wish that the sky took up most of the picture, but that's just me. Also, if the depth of field was shallower and only focused on the beer that would make this work a little better for me

I like the way you followed their ad campaign for this. I like the comp and the fact that the product is prominant in the photo. The background adds to the ambiance. I do think that you could've cropped this tighter and achieved the same effect while putting more attention on the product.

Good idea, but I think the photo is a little bland. Could use a bit more color and "pop".
