 A standard tourist shot of my town -- looking down at the waterfront. At the right is the Breakwater and to the left of that is the wharf. That's where I take most of my sunrise shots. Santa Cruz Island on the horizon.

Just for the record, this isn't Santa Cruz, California. It's about 400 miles south. (Get out Google Earth and so some exploring 8) )

This does have a postcard feel to it. Nice to get a larger perspective on Santa Cruz.

Once, many years ago, I rode the old wooden roller coaster there on the boardwalk. Is it still operating? I either never knew or forgot (far more likely) there was an island. Makes an nice backdrop for your postcard.

So beautiful, but (being a little grumpy), I'm missing the blue postcard sky and a straight horizon. Never been in California (and only once (less than a day) in the US), I'm just wondering where this is? Looks like a nice place to visit, with probably a lot of seafood.
