I really look forward to these times to play. this one started with a dogwood blossom - well past its prime - and a pine branch..
The pine branch metamorphed into this by use of the sharpen and noise ninja tools plus b&w conversion and application of a matching tint to the dogwood blossom.

The blossom also was helped by liberal applications of noise ninja. I preserved & sharpened the center and enhanced the color just a bit.

No, I didn't have a plan when I started. But I liked it enough to make a 11x14 print out of it.

This is wild - amazing background, looks like an etching.

Love it! The soft ecru tones and the beautiful middle of the flower - really great job.

Nice job! This is one of my favs so far. Your processing on the pine branch is really out of the box, and works so well with the blossom.

Took me a second to see this.
When I first looked at it, I thought I was looking straight down on a single flower, with it's stem hidden below the petals, all sitting on a fine tablecloth or similar. That background really does look like linen.
Fun to see where a few clicks will take you isn't it?

That's really cool and interesting. I like the tack sharp focus on the center of the flower, with it having the main color. Quite stunning.

Love the combination and how you re-worked the pine branch and positioned the flower over it. Love all the creamy tones with just a spot of sage green.

This is gorgeous. It's got me thinking as to what I have in my arsenal to try something similar.
